Hey Y’all!
So these last few weeks have been a little crazy, between work, the grind commitments and generally what is going on in the world… wheww its alaaat. I hope you are keeping well and managing to harmonise everything you are juggling.
Sometimes despite how hard I feel like I am working, the thought does come like man, will I ever meet my goals? Will I ever get to the place I desperately desire? If you have ever pondered those questions, the answer is yes. Yes, you will reach and exceed your goals and if you put in the work, you will reach your full potential.
Proverbs 18:16 – A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.
Your gifting is uniquely yours, there is only one you. It does not matter how many people occupy the space in which you wish to enter, whether it is in the arts, entrepreneurship, the corporate ladder or ministry… what God has placed in you, there is a space for that and for you. And more than that, it is a space that no one else can fill, it’s yours.
You do not have to forego the principles of God to get where you want to. You can maintain your integrity, you do not need to lie, cheat or steal your way to the top. Rather, what we should be doing is stewarding our gift well. This looks like practicing, learning and developing our skill(s).
In the middle of it, it can be discouraging, real sticky and real tricky. Whatever you do, do not give up because God’s grace is sufficient to carry you through that time. The giver of your gift, God, is the most powerful being in the universe. The Bible says, if God is for you then it does not matter who is against you (Romans 8:31). Further, God can do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20-21) so get excited about where you are going.
I just want to encourage you to keep on posting on Instagram, working hard to prove your worth at work and refining your skills for your business…even if you think people are watching you, keep going because the right people will notice you. Elevation, promotion will follow because it is promised that your gift will make room for you.
Partner with God this week by working hard and lifting up your faith because God moves according to your measure of faith (See this previous blog for more on faith).
Love,
Dom
